A sneak-peek into the characteristics of Kaliessa Keenstar given the context of the questions posted above.

2) How does your character view life? Is it a puzzle? A challenge? A stream of events? How does your character fit in? Does your character care?

Kaliessa Keenstar sees her existance as but a mere speck of dust when compared to the ever giant scope of nature. Though she may be that of something insignificant, she strongly believes that her overall efforts lends to the whole of the sum of the parts.

16) What magical item does your character most want? Why?

Perhaps if she is given an item of polymorphic magic, she would love to turn people she is close with into frogs.

Why frogs, you ask? Why, they are simply the most languid and detached creatures ever! Hopping on lilies and feasting on insects that are stupid enough to cross with their peripheral - It is, what she imagines, being at peace is like. Perhaps this answer ties into question number 1 as well.

20.) What is your definition of happiness? Have you ever achieved this? What would you do to achieve this state (again)?

Happiness is achieved when one's desire for material wealth dissipates and only the subsistence from the five needs: food, water, shelter, companionship and knowledge is met with. - a quote from a very old and cranky kaldorei scholar.

But that is not to say that she does not have her own frivolous wants! Such as, say, a stone that has polymorphic magic to turn people into frogs! She would be happy without the stone. But more happier with it, albeit temporarily, for then all the people she loves now turns into frogs and she would have a very difficult time having a conversation with them. Then, perhaps, she would not enjoy the stone after all and happiness will not be achieved.

...We would then have to forget that question 16 is answered for there is a paradox! Alas, such is the nature of living. *shrugs*
Welcome to Hesopotamia! Please, take off your shoes before entering. Thank you.

Keenstar's really sad theme when she has to peel onions and potatoes for dinner.

2) Xeqwena takes things as they come, and tries not to look back on her past but is very bad at doing so. She takes life as it comes, and deals with things as they become relevant. This style of life revents her from being to depressive or mopey.. most of the time. She likes to plan ahead, but with issues may be her one exception. She veiws herself as a simple Kaldorei, finding her place in life. A long life ahead of her. She's prone to deep thoughts.. and has pondered this often. On the whole world of Azeroth.. there must be several like her, but none quite the same. Humanity and living is strange, in that way.

3) Xeqwena Eversea is most afraid of losing what she has, now. Her few and only ever "friends", Her love, her life, and her career. She had wanted to be a Sentinel since she was little, and could never imagine going back to being a simple village girl. She dosen't know what she'd do if the Commander didn't approve of her new relationship and has decided to keep it secret.
But what scares her even more, is the possiblility of one day meeting face to face with her "father" who had abandoned her and her mother. With him there she would've never been the person she was today, maturing and having to support them on her own. The villagers would help of course.. but there was only so much they could provide. If her father had been there she would be a completely different person. Facing him, and especially if he didn't abandon them or run off when her mother got pregnant, she'd be consumed in bloody rage. Like if he was a druid who feel into the dream shortly after her birth, and just now woke up. She realizes neither of these two strong emotions within her, and probably never will on her own.

5) Xeqwena pities those that have to steal for a living, and is angered to those who do it simply for wealth or sport. You'd never know if that comb you took was a family heirloom.. or very important to whoever you took it from. She doesn't mind taking spoils from orcs, but only to survive. Prehaps on a long journey she's staring and comes across a abandoned caravan. She's leave some gold.. and take what she needs. Maybe writing a note.

6) Xeqwena dosen't adventure.. but when hunting in the wild she would not risk her life. She knows whatever it was it wouldn't be worth causing grievance to those who care about her, if few. She's thought about the chances of living and dying normally in her jobs.. or to a everyday basis. Sometimes this provides and weighs heavy on her mind, grim. She cares, she dosen't want to die yet. But - for the right person or in defense of sisters or home she would, but not so gladly as others.

7) Yes, Xeqwena is a virgin. She is and has only ever been in one romantic relationship, no even crushes or being hit on before this. She is completely clueless when it comes to love, growing up not seeing it. The farthest she's "gone" in her current relationship is a semi-long kiss for half a minute or two. They're taking things slow, maybe intentionally on her partners side. Not wanting to freak her out, take advantage of her or end it because she rushed. On several occasions this person has asked if she has made Xeq uncomfortable. Xeq is simply following this persons lead, learning along the way. Her partner is caring, around her age but older then her, a druid. They've got a lot in common, and Xeqwena really can open up to this person like she hasn't been able to before. They've revealed a whole new side to her that you wouldn't believe if you didn't see yourself. That your "Huntress" could be so shy and little girlish. If a bit playful and immature. The relationship is secret and there are bumps in the road, but they've been working it out. Her romantic partner is being very patient with her in this endeavor, saying that when she's ready they can be open. Overall, I think it's been good for her to have somebody there, and not be so independent and heavy on herself despite the complications that come with it. :)

8.) Keeps a lot of things to herself, her relationship being a big one. All her secrets are very personal, and she'd hate for everyone to know. It'd feel to her that everyone's eyes are watching more even more then they are.. but peering inside of her. And it scares her. The only person she'd tall any of these to would be her best friend and lover, or mother. Not really having anyone else. Perhaps Alieca in the future.. it's slow but they're becoming friends.

9) No, Xeq doesn't like herself. Compared to everyone else her reasons for being here are folly in comparison to the rest, and she feels to young to be in her current rank sometimes. That she's not suited. Outwardly, Xeqwena does not like her appearance. She thinks to be to short.. to skinny and twig like.. and to silver. She hates the scar on her face, so hard to cover. She doesn't like restraining her head movements or her hair, so she wears masks and often nothing at all, to her demise. She thinks herself to be quiet, anitsocial, and weird. She wishes to be charismatic and friendly like some of the others. She has a inferiority complex.. feeling she is ugly.. not worthy, and to young. Despite all the praise she gets from the Commander and Guardian at times. As the player - I quite like her and how she is turning out. I think she's pretty, scar and all. And the humbleness, and mopeyness I find adorable.

10) I wish Xeq would be a bit more brave at voicing her opinions and thoughts, often even though she is the same rank as Adellwyna often follows her orders even if she dosen't agree. She looks up to all the other Huntresses as her seniors, sometimes even the Silly Seri who was promoted at the same time, and shouldn't be to much older. (She helped give her Mandalas.) Not often she disagrees, but when she does if she's not angry she'll keep it to herself. I also wish she'd be more open, and prehaps she'd have more friends and the troops would like her more. I can imaigine then she might be a happier person.

11) Xeqwena works best by herself and in small groups, is very independent. She spends her free time on her own.. a lot of the time thinking while doing a menial task. She'll ask for help when she needs it fine, should it arise. She has no problems accepting help, but prefers to solve her own problems.

13) Xeqwena sometimes wander about those she's slain.. if they had families like hers.. what they did.. but it dosen't last long. She can kill, and has no problems doing so. Animals only when absolutely nessicary, or to put them out of misery. However orcs, goblins, undead, scorge.. she has no problems slaying them all. If not taking a bit of joy knowing their numbers are thinner, knowing her Sisters are safer. She likes to go on stealthy assassin missions, when given, and finds tracking the target and sniping it enjoyable.

14) Xeq doesn't believe in destiny, only as much as Elune fating a meeting or something that was meant to be.

16) Xeq dosen't like magic.. but she'd find a armband or bracelet softly enchanted to be pretty nice. Perhaps a blade for war..

18) No. Not at the moment. Xeqwena can't even be honest about her feelings to her partner or to those around her, there is no way she'd have or want a family. Maybe someday, I think her lover would like to. Xeqwena never grew up in a family setting.. and could never picture herself as a mother. (of adopted kids.) She'd find these familal feelings to get in the way and be a weakness, or not having enough time then feeling guilty. Her job is quite demanding.. she'd probably be more torn the Adell.

19) I think Xeqwena would want to be a raven, her favorite animal. Black as the night and stealthy, being able to fly away from everything. All her worries, burdens. Lies. (though few) Or prehaps a wolf, running through the forest adrenaline pumping. Being kin under Goldrinn, always having the thrill of the case. As a player.. I think she is to heavy on her mind, and she needs a break. But not as another creature.

20) To happiness, Xeqwena would think a time when she dosen't have to worry about war, her job or anything else. But just be right there, right then, free of bonds. She's never achieved this, despite the advice of so many to do so. Never perfectly has gotten that moment of Blizz. Mind always wondering back to work. She'd never seek this out of free will, but let it find her. Right now, if a bit stressed out, she's content with her life.

23) Xeqwena has been in love once, is being in love now. Her partner is a druid, more charismatic then she is and really has a way with words. The feeling is mutual.. and she began to see the person in another and different light when confessed to. They both care for each other strongly.. but I wouldn't say it's they healthiest relationship. One of them or the other is always getting upset, but she wouldn't have it another way. As long as they're not alone anymore. As long as she's there. <3 ~

Advanced Character Development: Moonfanaria Stormrider.
(Answered as her.)

1.) What animal or creature best symbolizes your character? Which traits do the two share? Which are different? Is this creature or beast the same as your totemic animal? If not, why not?

-As most druids would say, we are most symbolized by the animals we can shift into. Many have said me to be very cat-like when I am angry, of being affectionate. It does vary though, I have been told. Some have said, that I have the wisdom Malorne had himself, and that I have the grace of the Stag. Our people, the Kal’dorei, aren’t ones for Totemic anything, and I would not be able to answer that question. *She gives a feral smile*

2.) How does your character view life? Is it a puzzle? A challenge? A stream of events? How does your character fit in? Does your character care?

- I view life in many different ways. It varies also, if you mean life in general, or that of my own life. Life, is a scared thing, and it comes and goes as the wind blows and as the waves crash onto the land. It comes in all shapes and sizes, from the grass in Ashenvale to the Dragon Aspects of Northrend. It all has a place and a meaning. No life is meaningless. I fit in where I need to be, where Elune wills be to be. To many, I think I have become known as a friend, a trusted member of the Sentinels, and to some a significant being in their life. Life can be an never-ending puzzle, if you let it get to that. I will be as many of my brothers and sisters try to be, as steady as Earth, as willing as Wind, as calm as Water, and as passionate as Fire. This is where I am, and I will not waste the gift Elune has granted us all.

3.) What is your character most afraid of? Why? Is your character aware of this fear? What would your character do when confronted by this fear?

-I am most afraid of myself. Yes, I know many have said this, but most truly have nothing to fear. I have lost myself before, and it was not something I would want to relive. I did my best to come back to this wonderful world around us. ‘Twas not an easy task. My past has lead me to this once again, and only I can control this fear. I do as most would do, I try to run away from it, but how does one run away from oneself?

4.) What was your favorite adventure? Why?

- Favorite adventure? Life. It is a whirlwind of emotions, memories, and places. Never a dull moment, even when you believe it to be, and that is the truth. Even though some memories can hold us back, life continues to move forward, with or without us. So I will continue on this ‘adventure’ until Elune takes me.

5.) How do you feel about stealing? What justification do you need? How far would you go to steal/recover something? Do you see adventuring as robbery (of poor orcs/ogres/dragons/etc) or justice?

- Stealing? You are asking a Sentinel how she feels about stealing. Well, from one’s kin, that is not right, not in the least. I’ve been in a place, before the Sentinels that is, where I had to steal to survive. In a way, we are all thieves. How you say? Do you or do you not steal the life of your foe? Or the life of that deer you’ve hunted for your next meal? Even the ‘vegetarians’, as the Humans say, steal the life of the plant they have chosen to consume. It is a way of life, in one’s nature to steal. This is not me saying I believe it to be right, but when put in the sense I have just stated, is it not a means for survival?

6.) Do you feel you risk your life when you adventure? Why (not)? Have you ever thought about the odds of survival? Do you care?

-I risk my life everyday I am on duty with the Sentinels. I have been in more than one situation where my life nearly ended, upon being with the Sentinels and when I was a feral druidess. One simply risks their life everyday, and everyday could be your last. I think upon it every so often, but I do not let it keep me from what I must, or want to do. I will not merely give up on myself because of the risks. I would risk everything for those I care about, meaning my lover, my sisters of the Sentinels, and that of my family.

7.) Are you a virgin? If not, what was your first time like -- the partner, the experience, the relationship, etc? Either way, how has this affected your life?

-Yes, I am indeed pure. I have only merely kissed my lover, and we’ve yet to go any further than that. I am in no hurry to rush her into anything she doesn’t want. And I will keep my own pleasures to myself, and put hers first. I only wish to make her happy, and to please her. Even if that means sitting in the grass talking, or things of a more personal level which I will not speak of, I just want to please her in every aspects of the word.

8.) What secrets does your character keep? How personal are they? Whom do/would you confide in?

- I am in a secret relationship with that of my lover, and no I will not say with whom, for her sake. I can be very personal, if the other person is willing to be personal with myself, and willing to listen. I have been there for most of my Sisters in the Sentinels and I will continue to be. I have many close friends with whom I have placed my trust in. Whom? Huntress Eversea, Sentinel Oakensteel, Shan’do Thistleclaw, Nightweaver, and that of the Human who knows our ways, and I treat her like she was my own kin, Alicea Wind-Dancer. I trust them all, and this list continues to grow as I learn more about the Sisters in Sentinel. I have yet to meet one I haven’t been able to get along with.

9.) Does your character like him/herself? Why (not)? Do you as the player agree?

-It really depends on the day with me, I am a very sensitive, and emotional Kal’dorei. And I wear my heart on my sleeve, as the Humans say.

((I as the player do agree. (: ))

10.) What characteristic are you most interested in improving? Why? How would this change your life?

-The characteristic I’d like to improve would be my leadership-like ones. I wish to become a guide to those in the Sentinels, just as the Commander, Guardian, and the Huntress’ do. It may be far-fetched, but it has been a dream of mine that I hope will come true one day. I believe I have something I could teach the Sentinels.

11.) Are you a fairly independent person? How often do you ask others for aid? How well do you work in a group?

-I have been on my own for over 300 years; I think that would make me a ‘fairly’ independent person. Ever since…*She pauses for a moment to regain herself* that night in the forest. I hardly ever ask for aid from my Sisters, but I will always offer them my aid. And I’d say considering what I have been through, I work pretty well with others.

12.) How does your character react to clerics and other "god-servants"? Do you hold people or things as sacred? How do you feel about rival deities and faiths?

-I highly regard those who are true to their faith, especially the Priestesses of Elune. I am a very simplistic type of Kal’dorei, the only thing I hold sacred is those who I carry in my heart, and of course our matron Elune. And us Kal’dorei know the truth, but I am able to understand others points of views, as long as they do not mock, or talk poorly of my own.

13.) How easy is it for you to kill? Do you limit yourself to slaying only monsters? Only non-humanoids? Animals? Do you ever try to restrain foes with non-lethal force? What are your limits?

-I am a druidess. The hunt, the kill, and the bloodlust are a part of what I am. I do not kill for sport, but killing is indeed, an easy thing for me to be able to do. I have no limits when it comes to killing, because why should there be? There are unsaid rules about killing, which I undoubtedly follow. Like one should never slay one’s kin, or close friends. Non-lethal force? Only when necessary do I attempt this. As I said, I’d use that tactic on kin, and any other race in our Alliance. The Horde, are a different matter entirely. *She growls *

14.) Do you believe in destiny? Do you have a specific destiny to fulfill? How does this belief color your decisions?

-One’s destiny is not up to them, only the Goddess knows what is in store for me.

15.) What fallacies or myths do you believe in? Examples: psionic powers/drow/spell-jamming don't exist, Oerth is flat, all witches are evil, DC is NOT God, etc. Please keep in mind your cultural biases.

-Myths? I believe in all of Azeroth’s Lore with each, and every race. Besides the rumor that us, Kal’dorei, have descended from the bestial face of the Troll. *She sighs, and shakes her head* That is far, beyond the truth.

16.) What magical item does your character most want? Why?

-Magical –anything- is nothing I want to own, not now or ever. Magic lead to the destruction of the Highbourn , and we know how well it worked out for Illidan Stormrage…

17.) If you could change any one thing about your character, what would it be? Why? Would the character also want to change this?

-I have many things I wish I could change about myself. My looks for one, I am scarred all over, and *Points to her scar on her cheek* I am even scarred on my face. But also, *Takes that same finger and points to her heart* I am also scarred here. I wish there was a way to re-enter my past, and change it…* She looks longingly away.*

18.) Do you want to have a family and/or children? Why (not)? If your character is part of a lineage, explain what that ancestral connection means to you.

-I would like to have a family, but with my current lover, and my genes I do not think it is very possible. I wouldn’t want what happened to me, long ago, happen to my child. I would not wish my child to never know who their mother was, and be subjected to what I have been accused of, by my own ‘father’. I wish I knew who my true Min’da, and An’da were…* She says the last sentence in a innocent, child-like voice, as a tear slides down her face*

19.) If your character could become some other person or creature what would it be? Why does your character feel this way? As the player, do you agree/feel this is a valid reason?

((She is a druid, so she already can do these things!))

20.) What is your definition of happiness? Have you ever achieved this? What would you do to achieve this state (again)?

-Happiness…*She sighs, and gives a small smirk.* I wish I could say I have truly achieved this, I thought I had, but it left as soon as it came. I would do anything to become happy, once more.

21.) What would you as the player most like to see happen to your character? Why?

-((I would really love to see her overcome all her current problems, and to see her rise through the ranks, so she can have one of her dreams come true, and for her to achieve happiness. No one likes playing a sad character!))

22.) Do you believe in Law or Justice? Which is more important, the Ends or the Means? If your answers vary with the situation, please explain.

-*Sighs* I am a Sentinel, am I not? Law and Justice are what I enforce, of course I believe in it, fully. To me, it only matters what is accomplished at the end. If something needs to be done, then you do it. And I don’t care how you would do it, if it is for the right cause.

23.) Have you ever been in love? With whom and when? What would you do to achieve a strong and healthy romantic relationship?

-*Chuckles uneasily* I am in love at this very moment, and I can not say with whom. I will do everything in my power to achieve a heathly, and long-lasting relationship with her. I do not wish to ever relinquish her, and I want her to be happy. I would do anything for her…*Sighs*
Lost? I will always find you...

1.) What animal or creature best symbolizes your character? Which traits do the two share? Which are different? Is this creature or beast the same as your totemic animal? If not, why not?

I think the animal that best symbolizes Arejanna is the frostsaber. This reflects in Skit, her companion, who found her during her Sentinel training in Shadowglen. They are both tenacious and unforgiving in battle, and loyal to each other and those considered friends. She doesn't have a totem.

2.) How does your character view life? Is it a puzzle? A challenge? A stream of events? How does your character fit in? Does your character care?

Arejanna views life as a series of moments. Because of this she tends not to dwell on the past, preferring to live in the now. She does, however, take the very long view of things, a trait that has saved her skin on several occasions.

3.) What is your character most afraid of? Why? Is your character aware of this fear? What would your character do when confronted by this fear?

The biggest thing Arejanna is afraid of is losing everyone she loves again. It's pretty obvious why, and she's very aware of it. When confronted with it, she would most likely do everything she could to save them.

4.) What was your favorite adventure? Why?

So far I think her favorite adventure was her time in Pandaria. Though it had its share of troubles, it was a beautiful land and she met and befriended many people.

5.) How do you feel about stealing? What justification do you need? How far would you go to steal/recover something? Do you see adventuring as robbery (of poor orcs/ogres/dragons/etc) or justice?

This is a gray area. Arejanna believes that one should not steal for the thrill of it. Stealing for survival is a gray area, since there's always game to be hunted. As for recovering something, it depends on what was taken, but as she is an excellent tracker, they probably wouldn't get very far. Adventuring is also a gray area; while she tries to take the peaceful path, she winds up in combat more often than not and is forced to take what supplies she can.

6.) Do you feel you risk your life when you adventure? Why (not)? Have you ever thought about the odds of survival? Do you care?

Arejanna is very aware that adventuring, and even being a soldier, carries with it a high risk, but in her own words: "It's an occupational hazard. I knew what I was getting into when I signed on."

7.) Are you a virgin? If not, what was your first time like -- the partner, the experience, the relationship, etc? Either way, how has this affected your life?

She is not a virgin, but is very selective in her choice of lovers. Her first time was pretty ordinary, but the relationship didn't last. It hasn't really affected her life much; she stays focused on her job, and only rarely takes to bed with anyone.

8.) What secrets does your character keep? How personal are they? Whom do/would you confide in?

I really can't answer this one, as I haven't explored this area yet.

9.) Does your character like him/herself? Why (not)? Do you as the player agree?

Arejanna likes herself well enough to consider herself happy. She loves her life, her job, her friends, and her home, and would do anything for them. This was a conscious decision on my part to avoid the "brooding loner whose parents were killed thus scarring them for life" archetype. By making the character happy with life regardless of past circumstances, she seems (at least to me) a little more real, a little more believable.

10.) What characteristic are you most interested in improving? Why? How would this change your life?

Her social skills, for sure. It would probably make her life a little fuller, to not feel awkward around others.

11.) Are you a fairly independent person? How often do you ask others for aid? How well do you work in a group?

Arejanna is very independant, often capable of acting without central leadership in most matters, though she has been known to ask for help when she's out of her element or in over her head. Despite this ability to act alone, she also works very well with others, either as a leader or team member.

12.) How does your character react to clerics and other "god-servants"? Do you hold people or things as sacred? How do you feel about rival deities and faiths?

Arejanna is devout in her belief in Mother Elune and the Guardians, but has always been interested in learning the beliefs of other religions. She is very curious about the August Celestials, who seem to be something else altogether, and she has debated philosophies of the Light with clerics and priests. She believes that each religion has a gleam of truth to it, and she does not fault others for their beliefs.

13.) How easy is it for you to kill? Do you limit yourself to slaying only monsters? Only non-humanoids? Animals? Do you ever try to restrain foes with non-lethal force? What are your limits?

Despite how easy it is these days to take a life, Arejanna still tries to exercise restraint and keep the peace. Unless given a very good reason, she will only kill in self-defense, or to defend others.

14.) Do you believe in destiny? Do you have a specific destiny to fulfill? How does this belief color your decisions?

I don't think she believes in destiny as a prescribed event, but rather a path to be walked that, like any path, has divergences and different courses. She believes that her destiny is the path she takes in life. She does have a hidden fate that she isn't aware of, however, and is unconsciously moving toward that end.

15.) What fallacies or myths do you believe in? Examples: psionic powers/drow/spell-jamming don't exist, Oerth is flat, all witches are evil, DC is NOT God, etc. Please keep in mind your cultural biases.

She isn't really one for myth or fallacy, given her ability to see into the truth of things. This keeps her rooted in fact and science and machines, but what she has seen for herself she will acknowledge, including mythical figures. She believes in Elune, however, as she has seen an image of the goddess (the moonlight glow thing she does) with her own eyes, and has seen it to be true.

16.) What magical item does your character most want? Why?

She doesn't want any magical items. At all. Ever. There's no need for them.

17.) If you could change any one thing about your character, what would it be? Why? Would the character also want to change this?

I don't think I would.

18.) Do you want to have a family and/or children? Why (not)? If your character is part of a lineage, explain what that ancestral connection means to you.

At some point, I think Arejanna would like to settle down and have a family. Since she was adopted she doesn't know of her lineage, so it isn't very important to her.

19.) If your character could become some other person or creature what would it be? Why does your character feel this way? As the player, do you agree/feel this is a valid reason?

I haven't explored this area either, so I can't answer.

20.) What is your definition of happiness? Have you ever achieved this? What would you do to achieve this state (again)?

Happiness is. And it can find anyone, at any time.

21.) What would you as the player most like to see happen to your character? Why?

I'm not sure.

22.) Do you believe in Law or Justice? Which is more important, the Ends or the Means? If your answers vary with the situation, please explain.

Arejanna believes very much in upholding the law, and as a soldier she believes that she and her Sisters should set an example for the public. She also believes that justice should be examined on a person-to-person basis. As for ends-versus-means, to her it's a gray area she doesn't like to explore.

23.) Have you ever been in love? With whom and when? What would you do to achieve a strong and healthy romantic relationship?

Once, perhaps, but it didn't last.

24.) OMITTED because I don't have a good answer.

the bird slips out of my hand, plunges into the heart...

1.) What animal or creature best symbolizes your character? Which traits do the two share? Which are different? Is this creature or beast the same as your totemic animal? If not, why not?

Thalean is like a spider. He is quick and agile, and is often regarded as either someone to be wary of or someone to completely disregard. Because of this, his lethality and intelligence can end up being underestimated entirely. He tends to use such thoughts to his advantage, embracing that his boisterous personality offsets his true purposes.

2.) How does your character view life? Is it a puzzle? A challenge? A stream of events? How does your character fit in? Does your character care?

For many, many years he viewed it as fleeting. Thalean never knew when death would come, and lived each day as his last. There was little value in anyone's existence outside of his own, but he has since evolved.

3.) What is your character most afraid of? Why? Is your character aware of this fear? What would your character do when confronted by this fear?

Demons. He's been tortured and tormented by them, both externally and internally. He knows of his fear, and anyone near him if they were ever set upon by one would know too. His reactions vary, but typically he is crippled by them. One time, his fright was so strong that he pissed himself. Another time he separated from his party to hide in a corner, curled up on himself. As skilled a fighter as he is, he has been, for the most part, useless in ventures that involve the demonic in any way. However, while he suffers PTSD from his last close encounter with one, it's hard to say whether his reaction would be changed if another event were to come to pass.

4.) What was your favorite adventure? Why?

He has has many. It is hard to pick just one.

5.) How do you feel about stealing? What justification do you need? How far would you go to steal/recover something? Do you see adventuring as robbery (of poor orcs/ogres/dragons/etc) or justice?

Thalean has been stolen from, and it is a sure way to piss him off; coming between him and his gold. He is greedy, but would only steal when necessary. He has quick hands and a distracting mouth.

6.) Do you feel you risk your life when you adventure? Why (not)? Have you ever thought about the odds of survival? Do you care?

In the past, it didn't matter. He didn't care about the risks and, being a thrill seeker, he felt a high from them. Now, however, he is more particular about the sort of ventures he takes on. He has a wife, and will eventually have children with her. He would not want to jeopardize them, or senselessly get himself killed. Still, as responsible as he is as a mate and father, it is hard to stifle the spark he has when it comes to craving the thrills of fights or adventure.

7.) Are you a virgin? If not, what was your first time like -- the partner, the experience, the relationship, etc? Either way, how has this affected your life?

Not even close... His first time wouldn't really matter. Thalean played fast and loose for a long time before getting to the point of wanting to settle down, so he'd have notched up several bedposts by now. Living each day like it was the last meant he worked hard and celebrated even harder. Most of his relationships were fleeting and generally entirely physical--at least on his part, until recent years. Before becoming susceptible to his emotions, many of his past trysts were simply for fun and pleasure--though he is self conscious of his facial scars, and has felt ugly because of them more than once. So charming his way into women's bed's was also a way to comfort his worries regarding vanity.

8.) What secrets does your character keep? How personal are they? Whom do/would you confide in?

Thalean is charismatic and charming, but does not get close to many at all. In general. He speaks to very few regarding the trials of his life, his hopes and fears, or anything beyond. He is very talkative, but mostly keeps conversation light.

9.) Does your character like him/herself? Why (not)? Do you as the player agree?

Thalean loved no one more than himself for a long time. But, now that he has been involved more personally with others, he can see more clearly his problems and hates that those he cares for could be negatively affected by them. He acts like he's hot shit, but is well aware he is not perfect in any way.

10.) What characteristic are you most interested in improving? Why? How would this change your life?

Thalean would love to not be so tormented by his fears, but all things considered, they will always exist in him.

11.) Are you a fairly independent person? How often do you ask others for aid? How well do you work in a group?

Strongly independent. He probably works better alone, but has had practice working with others in recent years. Thalean used to be very subordinate, in terms of simply following orders passed onto him, but over time has become more dominant in wanting to lead a group when in the field. If he believes he knows best, he will commandeer leadership as needed, his strong personality able to overpower others if he gets going.

12.) How does your character react to clerics and other "god-servants"? Do you hold people or things as sacred? How do you feel about rival deities and faiths?

Thalean doesn't think much about religion. He reveres Elune, obviously, but is in no way religious regarding his own faith either. He will be respectful, as is expected of him, but just doesn't really care for all the ceremony and prayer. None of it is sacred to him.

13.) How easy is it for you to kill? Do you limit yourself to slaying only monsters? Only non-humanoids? Animals? Do you ever try to restrain foes with non-lethal force? What are your limits?

Thalean has no problem killing, especially if he is protecting himself or someone else. He also has had no trouble killing when jobs have been given to him in the past. He is not bloodthirsty, but is battle savvy.

14.) Do you believe in destiny? Do you have a specific destiny to fulfill? How does this belief color your decisions?

When something seems too coincidental to be coincidence, Thalean absolutely chocks it up to fate. He does not know what his destiny is, but he is certain that the path of his life steered by it.

15.) What fallacies or myths do you believe in? Examples: psionic powers/drow/spell-jamming don't exist, Oerth is flat, all witches are evil, DC is NOT God, etc. Please keep in mind your cultural biases.

Not sure, really.

16.) What magical item does your character most want? Why?

A certain box that was taken by his mate's brother. He wants it because it is the only lead he had on finding out what afflicts her.

17.) If you could change any one thing about your character, what would it be? Why? Would the character also want to change this?

Nothing. He is very fun, competent, and flawed.

18.) Do you want to have a family and/or children? Why (not)? If your character is part of a lineage, explain what that ancestral connection means to you.

Yes. It was not something he ever thought about before, but now that he and his mate have discovered she is with child, he is very excited to be a father. He will make a fine one.

19.) If your character could become some other person or creature what would it be? Why does your character feel this way? As the player, do you agree/feel this is a valid reason?

Nothing. He's weirded out by the way druids shapeshift. He's happy to be as he is.

20.) What is your definition of happiness? Have you ever achieved this? What would you do to achieve this state (again)?

Happiness, for Thalean, is family. He had been disowned by his a very long time ago, and only after meeting Ashke, his wife, has he felt like he belonged to a familial unit again.

21.) What would you as the player most like to see happen to your character? Why?

I would just like to see him happy. He has been made to suffer a lot for my amusement over the course of his stories, but as entertaining as the writing is, I can't help feeling terrible when he is broken down and hurting.

22.) Do you believe in Law or Justice? Which is more important, the Ends or the Means? If your answers vary with the situation, please explain.

The ends are more important. Though it would depend on whom is getting hurt in the process. If the end meant saving the world, but the means involved harm to his family or friends, he'd let the world suffer.

23.) Have you ever been in love? With whom and when? What would you do to achieve a strong and healthy romantic relationship?

Twice he has. With his mate now, and with a former Sentinel in the past. He is very flirtatious in general, but when these women have struck his fancy he has doted on them with gifts, and pursued them more closely. For his mate he took her away to safer territories, and is actually attentive, caring, and kind, despite what others might think when dealing with him.

24.) If your character was born and raised in our 20th century Earth, how would you live? What profession would you pursue? What kind of car would you drive? Your favorite band? Describe your probable life-style (vagabond, married with children, socialite, etc)?

Thalean would be employed as a spy or mercenary, much like in the game. He would lead a double life for a long time, keeping his profession obviously a secret. He would drive the fastest car he could get his hands on, and be content as a lone wolf unless he fell in love or knocked someone up--then his familial desires would start to kick in, and cause all sorts of drama between his home life and his profession.

Yay, let's see what kind of answers I can give.

1.) Illiana would say...either a saber or a wolf. Both are fierce and dangerous in combat. Or rather, that's how she used to be. She can still be deadly, but perhaps the owl better defines her these days. More patient and wise.

2.) Life is a path to her. Being on a path is a given. Being on the right path, that's a little harder. Some paths immediately look wrong. Others take time to walk down before you realize you're leading yourself down a dark path. Every moment presents a choice to make on what kind of path you want to be on. All paths, though, lead to the same end: death. How you get there and what happens after is all up to which path you take.

3.) Illiana is most afraid of failing those closest to her. She hasn't had many things to hold onto in the past. She finds strength in being a rock for those around her. She used to only see her worth in how fiercely she fought in battle. But now, she's beginning to put more stock into someone that's useful for more than just that. She is very aware of this fact and that fear helps drive her these days on staying on a path she can be proud of and that leads to Elune.

4.) My favorite adventure with Illiana was during the "Set Me Free" adventure. I really got to find out who Illiana was. Even though it was mostly a sad story of struggle, Illiana came out the other side stronger.

5.) Illiana has enough skills to be able to take care of herself and others. She's never had a need for acquiring wealth as she is a simple woman. She would never steal, either. Those that steal from her...these days...depending on how important the object was would determine if she would attempt to recover this item.

6.) Illiana used to be a risky individual during adventures. She looked forward to combat, and she also used to not care what happened to her. Now, she has reasons to be smarter and reasons to keep going and stay alive.

7.) Illiana is not a virgin. Her first time was with a draenei, which bore her a son. What's interesting about that marriage was she felt it was something she had to do. Like something to check off on a life list of self-validating items. Though she would never change having her son, she realized later that the marriage was not real. The feelings were forced. Her marriage to Sonoa, however, was something that gave her life more meaning. They are best friends. The only thing she would have changed about that was marrying her sooner. But everything happens for a reason.

8.) Illiana does not tell anyone her real name (Allahnia). It's her birth name. Right now, Sonoa is the only one alive that knows that. She feels that name represents a past life that she can no longer have. The name Illiana is the name that defines her life now. While she does not keep it a secret, she is wary of telling people (especially strangers) that her son is half-draenei. It is mainly because kaldorei are not the most understanding of those types of unions - being xenophobic (at least the kaldorei...usually). Anything else in her life, she's an open book if asked and will not hide.

9.) Illiana struggles recently with who she is. It's a new path that she's never been on and the past holds on tightly to her. The thoughts of being broken still linger like a shadow. She does not like, nor dislike, herself at the moment. But she realizes that she is not completely content with where she is right now. I, of course, agree with Illiana's appraisal of her own life...for obvious reasons...lol

10.) As far as Illiana? Improving her sense of self-worth. Improving her relationship with Elune and even with her wife and son. Being a simple woman, an improvement in these categories would bring her a great deal of happiness.

11.) Despite what she might say, Illiana is still fairly independent. Asking for help is a sign of weakness. A habit she is trying to get rid of. Though she's beginning to trust her wife more and open up more to her, when it comes to strangers (or even the Sentinels for now), she would not ask for help unless it dealt with the safety of her sisters or her people and lands. As far as working in a group, Illiana is a natural leader. However, that is a characteristic she has sworn off for the time being. She much prefers to follow and still works well in a group.

12.) Illiana has a great deal of respect for any clergy member (especially priestesses of Elune). As far as other religions, she respects their views but only sees Elune as the one and only true goddess.

13.) A year ago, Illiana would have no trouble ending anything's life: creature or person. Nowadays, she stays her hand far more often than some might even enjoy. She struggles against her old urges and instead tries to focus on how to resolve issues without it leading to blood-shed. However, when it comes down to taking a life to save a life, she will begrudgingly take that life. However, she will not take the life if she deems it too dishonorably. I can't come up with any examples as saving a life is always worth stopping the assailant. Perhaps not necessarily taking the life, merely incapacitating it. Depends on the situation.

14.) Illiana wouldn't call it destiny. She would call it her true path. She is aware that Elune offers a guiding hand, but one is always free to choose to stay on that path or stray away. Seeing as how she wishes to define her life through Elune, she strives to stay on that "good" path that leads to Elune.

15.) Uh...idk how to answer this question ^.^;

16.) Illiana does not desire many material things. She's simple and focuses on things she finds more important: family, guildmates, Elune. But, there may or may not be certain weapons that may keep her attention in the markets from time to time. But, unless there's a good reason to spend money (not that she has much), she's content with taking care of what she has. If the need is strong enough, and she can craft it herself, she'll do that instead as she loves to work with her hands.

17.) I would like to hurry up and make Illiana a full priestess of Elune (complete with all the sparkly and flashy magic spells for healing!). But, this takes time to develop. Illiana would also want this. She actually really really wants this as a lot is personally riding on whether or not Elune will grant her this blessing. But, she'll continue to try and learn for now.

18.) She already has a family. Her current lineage is: her > Moonjade/Callen Riverdawn (parents), Athios/Serenthia Riverdawn (grandparents) ((all deceased now)). The name Riverdawn was tightly associated with the first Temple of Elune, before the sundering. Hundreds of years spent serving Elune. After the sundering, it was one of notoriety. Her mother, Moonjade, had made a name for herself as a fierce huntress after giving up on being a priestess. Now, instead of being a fierce huntress like her mother, she's flipped the coin and taken up her spot within the Temple of Elune as the ladies of her family used to.

19.) She would rather be someone who has their life together. A happy family, a happy life, and someone to be proud of. Her family would say otherwise, and Illiana's opinion of herself is changing lately for the better. Maybe not wishing to be anyone but herself is close on the horizon.

20.) Illiana is on the right path to being happy, but she maybe feels happy at a 4/10 right now. Happiness is being content with who you are and where you are in life. It's knowing that you can only take each day as they come and make the best out of it. Me personally, I teeter back and forth with feeling content. Most days I want a better life and some days I do feel content. It's an ongoing process, but making good decisions is a good start.

21.) Besides wanting Illiana to be a full priestess? Have another great adventure and perhaps learn more about herself. Adventures are always fun. Hopefully not so much bad things the next time. Illiana deserves to associate adventures with something other than pain and suffering.

22.) Illiana believes in law more than justice...I guess. Laws of the land; laws of the people. They're important as it gives a backbone for any society. It's the social contract everyone agrees to in order to have a decent society of people. Where there is lawlessness, evil and violence surely rein supreme.

23.) The first time Illiana thought she was in love was with her first husband, Maurkakar. However, true love, she only felt with Sonoa. Having been friends for many millennia, it wasn't until a few years ago that Illiana realized that she loved Sonoa the way she loved her. Illiana would do anything for Sonoa and counts it a blessing each day that Sonoa loves her the way that she does. She sometimes wonders why Sonoa hasn't left her so long ago.

24.) That's a tough one! She would most likely have joined the military. She would have done her time and gotten out and probably pursued something in veterinarian sector: taking care of animals. She'd like animals more than humans probably, with her introvert self. No matter her salary, she'd live simply. Though, her wife would probably do most of the spending. Since she wouldn't be a huntress with bows and polearms, she still wouldn't skimp on something like a car. She'd probably allow herself something nice like a 69' stingray and work on it during the weekends making modifications here and there while keeping clothing pretty simple. She probably still would not be a dress kind of woman and would stick with pants suits and shorts when not at work. She would, of course, like the bands I like. Mostly rock, some metal. Anything that elicits an emotional response and sounding good would be the only stipulations. Perhaps she'd be part of some community organization like a charity. Other than that, she'd work hard and live simply.
