In a guild such as <Moonglaive Sentinels>, we have always held our members to the highest standards of behavior. Over the years our guild has established a reputation for not only having solid roleplayers, but also upstanding and well-behaved players.

This is something we want to continue.

From the Commander, down to the newest recruit, we expect everyone in <Sentinel> and <Free Spirit> to adhere to the following simple guidelines.

We show respect and courtesy to everyone! This applies not only to your fellow guild members, but to those outside the guild as well. Be it other players on the Wyrmrest Accord, PvP battlegrounds, random dungeons, or Looking for Raid, we treat everyone with the same measure of respect and civility. Just because you may never see that player again is no excuse to treat them poorly. It is never acceptable to slander, insult, or deride another player; guild member or not.

We do not discriminate! Our goal is to keep <Moonglaive Sentinels> and <Free Spirit> a welcoming, safe, and friendly environment for everyone. A person's real life ethnicity, gender, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation make absolutely no difference in how we behave towards them.

Questions are okay! The old saying goes, "there is no such thing as a dumb question," and we completely agree with this. Our members should never be afraid to ask a question or request help, fearing that he/she will be teased or mocked for it. Being in a guild means being supportive of your fellow members. When someone asks for help, do your best to assist them or at least point them to the source of information they need. A question that may seem silly to an experienced player will not seem so to one that is newer to the game.

Mistakes are okay! Everyone makes mistakes, from the newest player to the most experienced. Whether running a dungeon, battling in PvP, or even in role play, try to be patient and understanding when someone else makes a misstep. Offer encouragement or advice, but never call someone out or insult them for making a mistake.

Remember! When you wear the <Sentinel> tag, you not only represent yourself, but the entire guild. Your actions towards other players reflect on all of us.
A little kindness goes a long way.

Thank you for writing this up, Adell. I agree with everything posted, and would like emphasize showing respect and civility towards everyone. Players from other servers may not be aware of our reputation, and may not have a clue what we're all about, but the standards of our guild still apply to our members. Be excellent to each other always (and party on).

There are of course times where RL people may not be in such a good mood, and it is hard to gauge the response to something said when you cannot see them face to face. I love this game and enjoy my time with everyone here. It is a welcoming and open atmosphere. Most times maintaining this is very hard, but we are all on the right path that's for sure.

May Elune shine on you all.

I always do my best to be kind, civil, and all that to anyone in the game, guildies especially, and if I'm not feelin' so hot that day, I usually just shut it to avoid a random outburst. But, I appreciate that you took the time to compose these guidelines Adell.

These are definately some good guidelines to adhere to. There are enough assholes in the world and the internet already. I try very hard to show kindness and respect to everyone, but if I'm having a bad day and someone in randoms is being nasty, I find it best to ignore them or leave. They're not worth it. Thank you for bumping this!
