Intro
Being part of a military guild not only means acting the part of a soldier, but looking the part as well.
The following guide is intended to help you achieve that "Sentinel appearance," so that we as a guild can look more professional and uniform. We have tried to provide a variety of options, most of which are lore-friendly and match the in-game Sentinel NPCs as closely as possible.
All members of <Moonglaive Sentinels> will work towards building one or more of these armor sets, which are to be worn whenever your character is on duty: standing vigil, training, or participating on a mission. These sets are separate from our formal uniforms, which will still be required for the Induction Ceremony and drill practice.
From now on, new members will be required to have one of these sets before being promoted to Outrunner. This shows us that you are not only interested in playing the role of a soldier, but also committed to being part of a serious roleplay guild.
Special exceptions may be made due to character level, bad luck finding the required items, etc.
Included in such exceptions are the Night Elf inspired gear sets from the Darkshore warfront; which will be allowed as an acceptable alternative to your duty uniform.
FAQ
Am I required to wear my guild tabard?
When inducted, your character was given a tabard for a reason. Members are strongly encouraged to wear them while on duty. However, since the in-game NPCs are rarely seen wearing a tabard, we will not officially require them.
As tabards are now bound to us on purchase, you'll need to seek out the guild vendor to purchase a basic tabard. Let an officer know if you need help locating this vendor.
What about when my character is off-duty?
When your character is on her own free time, you are welcome to wear your choice of outfits.
Am I required to use a particular weapon(s) while in uniform?
Weapons are left up to the personal choice of the player, allowing you to still give your character a personalized look while in her uniform. Does your character prefer using axes instead of a sword? Then by all means, equip her with axes! The guide below does include some suggested weapons if you need some suggestions. Cloaks are optional.
What if I'm having trouble finding a particular item for my armor set?
The officers and myself will help you build your outfits as much as possible, including crafting a particular item, directing you to the appropriate quest, or assisting with purchasing the item from the Auction House. We will also have an entire tab in the guild vault dedicated to uniform items.
What if I find a better alternative for a certain uniform item?
Please bring it to our attention! These armor sets are not necessarily set in stone, and we are willing to consider alternate uniform items. However, the officers and guild leader have the final say.
