Sentinels,

Our Cadre will soon undertake a long pilgrimage and trek through the Kaldorei lands of northern and western Kalimdor. By tradition we will only use ground routes, traveling on our nightsabers.

Beginning beneath the boughs of Nordrassil, we will descend the old mountain road through Hyjal proper, Winterspring, Moonglade, and Felwood until we reach Ashenvale. From there we continue through the Stonetalon Mountains, Desolace, and then Feralas.

Our ultimate destination is Feathermoon Stronghold. There, we will be received and reviewed by General Feathermoon herself.

Make certain you have prepared enough equipment and supplies for an extended journey, and that your nightsabers are in fine and fit condition. Along the way we will be stopping at various Kaldorei towns and outposts, giving them whatever aid they may require.

Be it known, Sentinels, that this march is no light-hearted holiday excursion. You may expect training exercises, history lessons, military instruction, religious sermons or rituals, and perhaps even combat missions.

All questions may be forwarded to myself or any of the Cadre's officers.

Signed,

Commander Adellwyna Wintershade

((OOC Notes:

Tentatively starting on May 15th, our guild will be making it's traditional yearly trek to Feralas to meet with General Feathermoon. This trip will be by nightsaber only, and at a walking pace the entire way.

We're doing it a bit differently this year, though: I'm combining our Feralas Trek with the Nordrassil Pilgrimage for one LONG journey across Kalimdor!

The plan calls for us to march each Saturday evening at the least, stopping to make camp at various Kaldorei towns, outposts, and points of interest along the route. We will then roleplay in that area until we move on again, spending roughly a week at each camp. I'm not setting an exact schedule, but I expect this to take a few months to complete the journey, depending on our pace.

Due to the nature of this event, those characters participating will be required to be ICly "on the march" for the entire time. Your character -might- venture elsewhere ICly, but only with good reason and the permission of the Commander or her officers. You are free to come and go OOCly as you wish, of course.

This is a fun opportunity to do some travel RP and immersive world roleplay for an extended period of time. Members are strongly encouraged to host their own trek-related events along the way. If you have ideas or are curious how and when to work them into the Trek, just let me know.

I've hosted this for many many years now, and each time it has been great fun and great opportunity for world RP. Please let me know if you have any questions!))

((Keep in mind that your character will need to have completed the Mount Hyjal questlines before we start. This is to avoid issues with phased areas in that zone.))

Excellent, I absolutely love the Trek as a tradition!

Definitely recommend to new sisters as well as old, as it helps forge bonds over time. And yes, running an event that ties in is also great!

If we left your characters behind in Ashenvale pre-Shadowlands campaign, you're welcome to bring them along from the beginning; otherwise we will be passing through Astranaar at some point and we can pick them up there.

I love seeing the screenshots from each week's trek. Thank you for sharing them here. Inspiring, to say the least.
