You will see from the left side of the home page that there are three RP mods highly recommended by the guild. Here I'm going to explain a little bit about them and why they are recommended.

Total RP2 - The All Rounder
I ask that the guild download this mod, even if you don't learn to use it. Simply having the mod running gives you amazing possibilities in the RP-world. Having NPC's respond to you, engaging in player written quests and accessing secret stashes.
It has a few other nicities that I think you'll like as well; if you use *actions* in conversation it will turn them orange to look like emotes. There is a cloak/helm on/off button for addressing your RP clothing needs and a significantly more detailed character description page including ideas for alignment, a character icon (more on this later) and an easily accessible box for 'currently'; that is, a place where you can talk about temporary changes, a new wound, weapon or emotion. This mod also has a 'player created items tool', which is quite complex, and I don't expect you to learn it or understand it.

Character Icons
Kaliessa suggested that we use the enlisted rank icons in game as our icon as an indication of rank within the Sentinels. I think this is a great idea! So click on the icon and type pvp in the search box, scroll down to the purple one and pick the icon that corresponds with your rank;

Recruit: Your own choice, or the icon with one chevron P_01
Outrunner: the icon with two chevrons P_02
Scout, Spy, Archer: the icon with three chevrons P_03
Sister, Keeper: the icon with three chevrons P_03
Huntress: the icon with three chevrons and a bar P_05
Guardian: the icon with the sword P_06
Commander: the icon with the sword and shield P_09

MyRP - The Current Standard
If I was only intersted in RP within the guild I'd only worry about using TRP2, but if we want to be a part of the realm as a whole, then until TRP2 becomes the standard we need to embrace what is, and for the moment that's MyRP. Easy, light-weight and handy to have as it reads the descriptions from FlagRSP and RSP2 as well.

Gryphon Heart Items - The Easy Item Maker
Of the three, this is probably the least important. There are GHI users out there, and it is a brilliant mod. I suggest you download it, play with it and see if you love it as much as I do :)

Total RP2 has alot of cool features, but I don't see enough people using it that I find it all that useful. That, and it has a tendency to reset my states and description every couple of days, which is just annoying enough for me to really not care much about keeping it current. That said, I love that handly little interface at the top of my screen that lets me toggle my cloak and help on and off! ^.^

MyRP is essential. Don't even think of it as an addon, so much as having it 'flags' you for RP. If you try RPing without it (I learned this weekend, while using someone else's computer) people will start whispering you and telling you to get it!

GHI - I've had this forever, because people told me I should, but I've never used it and haven't put the time into figuring out how it really works. I've got one item for it, which was a really sweet gift a guy gave me that plays the Silvermoon Music when I right click it (because Alndis is a High Elf I suppose he reasoned I'd enjoy it.). The only problem is, I later discovered, is that it plays the music for -every- GHI user within radius!

Granted, that leaves open the possibility of a guild DJ in charge of playing music to fit the moods of events.... hmm...
I can browse forums at work. I can RP at work. I write at work.

Can't play WoW at work. Life ain't perfect.

So far I am loving TRP2, except that when I have my usual mods it is SO HUGE that I experience a bit of lag. I really can't wait until TRP2 becomes st5andard for more players so I can get rid of the others and only run TRP2.

You can mute specific players and/or mute the entire addon itself.
Welcome to Hesopotamia! Please, take off your shoes before entering. Thank you.

Keenstar's really sad theme when she has to peel onions and potatoes for dinner.

GHI: Oh how I love love love this addon and playing the scripts. When used properly it can make roleplay feel deeper like it was always part of the game. The general tools are pretty easy to use if you play with it for more than five minutes.

The great thing about this add-on and why I recommend it to everyone is anyone from a beginner to an advanced coder can use it and create. This has made any event I planned so much easier since I do not need to rely on others having TRP2 to participate in them thereby opening the events up to a wider range of people.

A agree Ver.
GHI is superior on many levels.
But TRP2 is becoming more common (yay!)
And you can incorporate TRP2 items into TRP2 quests

I actually stopped using GHI a few patches ago. There came a point where it would leave an invisible square in the middle of the screen that could not be clicked through, and messed me up tremendously in pvp. Rather than wait for the update and download that, I just turned it off completely and haven't really missed it. It was really cool at first, but I just never ended up using it much aside from a few very specific purposes. (I'd turn it on for Club Trix and then turn it back off when that was done.) I also avoided GHI merchants due to too many cases of people creating ridiculous items with them.

I just create personal items with TRP2 now and since that's a little more limited as to what elements of the game it can affect, will visit TRP2 vendors when they appear (and passively suggest small TRP2 inventories to GHI shopkeeps.)

I have my standard one minute flashing theme drinks, candy makers and a few inside joke items. I also have a wonderful pocket watch to blow off bad roleplayers politely and make custom ones for others fitting to their archetype, friends of course. Aside from that I also use it to hand out flyers for events, menus for events or general information concerning my charries.

The way I see actively using GHI is in my circle of RP friends most of us have it and knows a few things so it makes roleplay between us fun. Plus I enjoy coding things so it never really seemed that much of a work thing to me and more a for lulz thing. /nod
